I have an hour long commute between home and school. This means I spend a lot of time on the highway, with all the other people on the highway. Those other people suck at driving aren't necessarily great drivers, and some are just plain stupid. For example, today saw a guy in a M3 with an open Heineken bottle sitting there in the cup holder. His windows were completely open, and anyone who looked in, including the many cops on their way to an accident, could clearly see it. I also hate the people who drive all the way to the end of an ending lane just to get a few cars ahead, while overall slowing down traffic. Those people though aren't the worst, because there aren't actually that many of them compared to my worst pet peeve.
I absolutely hate people who don't use their turn signals. In any kind of traffic, it leads to people hitting their brake, making the people behind them hit their brake, causing traffic. Also, it causes accidents. I have actually started honking at people who merge in front of me without signaling. Now i am not a angry driver and I don't like contributing to road rage, so it's not a "F**K YOU" honk but a small "you messed up a bit" honk. My theory there is that there is a percentage of people who honestly forget about their signal, and this will be a gentle reminder that they forgot, hopefully leading them to use the signal in the future. My question to you, is what do you think of my theory, and do you have any better ideas to improve the general public's driving ability?

Nearly creamed some TWIT (Teenage Woman In Transit) today because I was 1/3rd of a second from moving into the middle lane (after a long session of signaling) and just before I did she darts into the lane RIGHT WHERE I WOULD HAVE BEEN from the right lane and didn't have a clue....didn't look up, didn't look over....nothing. Me in my 6000 lbs tank vs here in here 3000 civic...would have been ugly. Good thing I was paying attention.
Didn't let me in either and my turn was coming up. I hate people sometimes.

They are a little device, usually connected to your steering column that you can use to indicate your intent to turn or change lanes.

somebody doesn't get the code of the road soda. glass bottles are a dead giveaway, especially green. Cans in a coozie is the way to get down. NOT ON PUBLIC WAYS THOUGH

my biggest pet peeve is probably people who don't hurry the eff up at a flashing green when turning left. Like, fine, take a second and make sure it's safe and nobody's running the light. Then, for gods sake, GO!! What are you waiting for?
